My journey in the world of Advertising – Traditional to Digital

‘Adworld is Madworld’ – this is what I had heard as a child. And above I had heard people talk that the ones who are in the advertising world are not the people with morale. So advertising for me was not by choice it was by chance. I started my journey when I was barely 18 years and just out of my 12 th . Fate brought me to this field and I continued to pursue this as I got literally addicted and passionate about the industry. Actually I wanted to be a doctor and I bet each one of us as a child either want to be a doctor, teacher or an engineer. This idea is instilled within us from the day we are born. My Journey - Traditional to Digital Advertising But destiny plays. So here I am almost 15 years in the advertising industry and still going. Many a times I too have felt that I may not belong here because of the culture that is in the advertising industry but has enjoyed my journey all along. Traditional or Conventional advertising was ruling until few years...

Next Steps for 3Kings Kafe & Kitchen Project

Brainstorming, Facebook posts and more for 3Kings Kafe & Kitchen's live project So here's the next step; we sat together one afternoon and started brainstorming and there we came with a content calendar for Facebook posts for the next 3 months. We put a list together on the upcoming festivals of India and International events that we can concentrate on to create relevant posts. We came up with ideas for 3Kings Kafe & Kitchen on what they can do on special events and international days like World Earth Day, World Book Day, Mother's Day to name a few. Also a list of other type of posts that we can do like Tips & Recipes from 3Kings Kafe & Kitchen; Chefs' profile  We suggested them to have an on-ground event for these days and therefore we could promote and talk about the same on Facebook with pre-event and post-event happenings and the restaurant. IPL Match post Rajasthan Royals & Mumbai Indians We also caught the current season of I...

3Kings Kafe & Kitchen - live project @WMAIndia

Part-2 of our #live project  +Web Marketing Academy   Coming back to the actual world after all the fun, food and laughter with team-mates at Kings Kafe it's time for us to get serious about the live project of handling the social media of the restaurant. And, here we go.... Post our briefing session from Mr.Paul of Kings Kafe, we did a lot of brainstorming with our mentor Mr.Suresh Babu and Ms. Manasi. Through this we came up with a Strategy & Proposal so as to list down the objectives & goals, Challenges & opportunities, Strategies and Steps to get footfalls to the restaurant through Digital Media, mainly Social media. Then came the content calendar for the social media; we had to break our heads as how to divide the content for each day and schedule events for the coming 3 months as our plan was a short term to start with. We took this to Paul and had a discussion with him and got a positive response. So now how to execute this plan, was the question....

How Important is Digital Marketing for Real Estate Business?

"Content is the reason search began in the first place" - Lee Odden Digital Marketing plays a very vital role in today's Marketing world. Rather, I would say for that matter Digital Marketing is very important irrespective of any industry or business. Digital Marketing is very important for Real Estate Industry Digital Marketing is a wonderful tool, it can be both push & pull marketing and hence can help the Real Estate business reach their relevant or target audience wherever they are or whatever they are looking for on the internet at a very minimal cost which is negligible compared to your Newspaper ads or OOH media. Digital Marketeer of the Week @ Web Marketing Academy

Friends, am very happy today as I have been showcased as the 'Digital Marketer of the Week' at WMA this week. This has happened again because of the guidance and pushing by Mr. Suresh Babu, CEO of Web Marketing Academy, my Trainers @ WMA and finally my batch-mates. I also would like to thank Manasi , Manjunath & Bharani for making this happen. I also learnt 'How to do pod-casting?', during this process. Thank you all @WMA for helping me to learn and achieve so many things in this short duration. Our first live project for 3Kings Kafe & Kitchen...at Web Marketing Academy

Hurrah...we have bagged our first project though we still are in the midst of our training at Web Marketing Academy. Isn't that awesome and wonderful!  Suresh was kind enough to handover this project to us and mostly to trust us for this. It's for a start-up cafe/restaurant on the Outer Ring Road of Marathahalli. We are also so keen and enthusiastic to work on this project. Each one of us want to contribute and make this a success story. So we have all started on some research as of now with Ms. Manasi leading and guiding us on this project. It has started good and a long way to go. It's not easy though, but we have to prove it. It's our goal as of now to ensure that the restaurant get's the maximum visibility in the vicinity and also gets high footfalls. So wishing us all success :)

I always wondered whether SEO was a difficult one and how is SEO done for a website?

Search Engine Optimization or SEO looked like impossible and a word/phrase which was like it came from a different world altogether. I always thought it was too difficult a job to do an SEO for any website and never wanted to even try that as it sounded as though it had got lot of technicalities, like meta keywords, tags, and so on. These fears were only until I attended Suresh's class on SEO this week. After that it's like me saying, is that all..."OMG, I CAN DO IT"; am so very confident now and ready to take up SEO for any given website. Suresh (WMA) made it look so simple with few techniques & the guidelines which he explained that one should & must follow. With just a few simple steps, you are ranking your website on top of the Search Engines; that's wonderful, isn't it? He made us practice at length until we got the real gist of it; he was not even willing to go ahead with the class until we proved him that we got what he thought. And this...
