How Important is Digital Marketing for Real Estate Business?

"Content is the reason search began in the first place" - Lee Odden

Digital Marketing plays a very vital role in today's Marketing world. So I bet a Digital Marketing plan must and should be included in the Marketing Strategy for the Real Estate industry as well.

Rather, I would say for that matter Digital Marketing is very important irrespective of any industry or business.

Digital Marketing is a wonderful tool for Real Estate business to generate leads
Digital Marketing is very important for Real Estate Industry
Digital Marketing is a wonderful tool, it can be both push & pull marketing and hence can help the Real Estate business reach their relevant or target audience wherever they are or whatever they are looking for on the internet at a very minimal cost which is negligible compared to your Newspaper ads or OOH media.

A customer gets a lot of info at his convenience and today's world is intelligent and completely dependent on internet; so when a Real Estate business is present on the Digital space it adds a big value.

The messages on Digital Media is very personal, you get to connect to the customer easily, understand the emotions of a buyer and cater to the individual needs. A lot of customization in each step brings the business closer to the buyer.

The prime important factor for the importance of being on Digital Media is you can measure each rupee spent as you get to know the ROI whereas it's next to impossible to track or measure on any other media.

A Digital Marketing Campaign is targeted as well as measurable. The ease to modify your campaign at any given point to optimize ROI is the best part of a Digital Marketing campaign. You can track the traffic which is coming to your website and send them personalized messages through e-mails or SMS.

You have many ways to keep your potential customer engaged until he turns out into a buyer. That's the advantage of using Digital Media. Your customer never feels he is lost. You can even keep them engaged post sales and builder valuable customer relationship.

Digital Marketing covers not only advertising on Google Search or some of the websites like the businesses think; a proper Digital Marketing Strategy for any Real Estate business must include SEO, E-mail Marketing, Mobile Marketing, Social Media and most importantly content-rich Website.

We see that in India too, the major Real Estate companies like Puravankara, Brigade Group, Sattva, Concorde are aggressively promoting and making their presence huge on the online. For example the property dealers like Magicbricks, 99acres, Housing.com are leveraging the Digital media and seeing results quickly and easily.

According to the reports on the GOSF 2014 (Go Online Shopping Festival), a new trend was seen which is the real estate market hitting it off really well apart from the major categories like Apparel, Electronics. Tata Housing recieved around 10K bookings and Puravankara booked 125 homes on the first day itself. So this shows the strong hold of digital media in the coming years and the change in the advertising & marketing world. (Source: Businessinsider.in)

According to Statista.com the projected Digital advertising spending would grow from 0.45 billion USD in 2012 to 1.78 billion in 2018.

Last but not least, the main aim for a Real Estate business is brand awareness & lead generation and you get to achieve it effectively with Digital Marketing compared to your traditional advertising. Conversions though doesn't take place online, hence the marketing/sales team has to start working efficiently to achieve this post lead generation.

I always wondered whether SEO was a difficult one and how is SEO done for a website?

Search Engine Optimization or SEO looked like impossible and a word/phrase which was like it came from a different world altogether. I always thought it was too difficult a job to do an SEO for any website and never wanted to even try that as it sounded as though it had got lot of technicalities, like meta keywords, tags, and so on. These fears were only until I attended Suresh's class on SEO this week. My journey in the world of Advertising – Traditional to Digital

‘Adworld is Madworld’ – this is what I had heard as a child. And above I had heard people talk that the ones who are in the advertising world are not the people with morale. So advertising for me was not by choice it was by chance. I started my journey when I was barely 18 years and just out of my 12 th . Fate brought me to this field and I continued to pursue this as I got literally addicted and passionate about the industry. Actually I wanted to be a doctor and I bet each one of us as a child either want to be a doctor, teacher or an engineer. This idea is instilled within us from the day we are born. My Journey - Traditional to Digital Advertising But destiny plays. So here I am almost 15 years in the advertising industry and still going. Many a times I too have felt that I may not belong here because of the culture that is in the advertising industry but has enjoyed my journey all along. Traditional or Conventional advertising was ruling until few years
