The majority of the fundraising these days is happening on Online media, especially after the pandemic which hit us hard in 2020.

There are various methods and modes to raise funds online and we will be covering one by one in our upcoming blogs.

The most popular online fundraising channel today is Crowdfunding platforms. Which is readily available on the internet through various organizations and provides an easy interface and setup for any small NGO or big NGO to do fundraising online.

Crowdfunding Platform - LEARN TO RAISE FUNDS ONLINE 

Though it is popular for medical emergencies for individuals, it still attracts a vast number of NGOs to raise funds for their causes and projects and has seen success when the cause is genuine.

What you need to do for raising funds on a Crowdfunding platform?

  1. Create a Campaign - add details on the project and description (add goal amount and duration you want to complete the goal) with complete transparency on how the money will be utilized and the impact that the money raised (given by donors) can make.
  2. Put up appealing visuals - images and videos with captions and if possible put up individual stories which are emotionally appealing to convince the donor to donate
  3. Add the specific price points by which you can accomplish a particular task or put up giving levels - mention the individual asks with pricing (for example, For One child: School books - 100, Schoolbag - 150, etc)
  4. Keep updating on the campaign when ever possible and inform the donors on the progress of the project
  5. Share the campaign in your network and social media or other channels (email/sms) to make it viral
  6. Thank the donors when you receive the donations 
  7. Finally, once the fundraising duration or goal is complete and the project is completed, share the report with the donors.
